Renting camping and backpacking equipment from Mountain Side is the easiest way to get outdoors.
Whatever you may be renting from Mountain Side, our mission is to make it easy to get outdoors. Once you get outdoors, our premium gear is designed to be easy to use and exceed your expectations.

STEP 1
Select gear and tell us the number of nights you’ll have the rental gear.
Almost all of our camping rentals inventory can be shipped. If you are not sure what you need or want just ask us for help! Your rental start date is the date you must have the gear delivered or the date you will pick up the gear.
STEP 2
Tell us if where to ship the gear or if you will pickup at our Golden, CO store.
Shipping: We ship to hotels and resorts, friend’s houses, college dorm rooms; wherever UPS can deliver. Please be aware UPS delivers gear 1-5 business days after the day we ship. This is based on your provided delivery address (view UPS delivery-time map more shipping info [link to UPS delivery map]). Your start date must be during the work week (Monday-Friday) to accommodate UPS delivery days. You’ll pay for outbound shipping at checkout. We offer convenient flat-rate return shipping at checkout. You are not charged for the days the gear is in transit.

Returning Rental Gear
Shipping:
Ship the gear in the same box you received it and drop-off any UPS location (find the closest to you) or other convenient shipping point. The cost is on you. Gear should be returned to us in as close to the condition as you received. This means you’ll need to remove any excess dirt, mud and sand prior to returning the gear. Same with food on a stove, mud on a backpack, dirt on a sleeping bag – you get the picture. Other terms and conditions do apply. Drop-off:
Drop off the gear with us any day of the week at our drop-off point, or contact us for an alternative pick-up/drop-off point with extended hours.

We don’t just rent award-winning gear, we sell it too. Deuter, Big Agnes, GSI Outdoors, Mountainsmith and more. Most of the gear for sale is almost new, rented just a few times. We promise the gear you purchase is in amazing condition, clean and ready for use. You’re going to be happy with your purchase; and if you’re not, let us know within 30-days of purchase date and we’ll make you happy.
