Join Mountain Side Gear Rental this month and next for a series of free evening hikes followed by optional happy hours at different Golden, Colo. breweries. The pairing is the perfect way to get outdoors, meet new hiking buds and decompress.
Hikes in the series are led by our friends at the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) and include all hiking ability levels and ages, even children (obviously, the happy hour part is limited to adults 21-years and older with a valid ID). Leashed dogs are welcomed, too. We’ll gather at the Mountain Side Gear Rental store (located at 15985 South Golden Road, Unit A, Golden) at 6 p.m. to lace up our hiking boots and set out for the pre-determined trail. Should you forget any trail must-haves, you can rent or purchase premium brand items on site.
To partake in the Hike to Happy Hour Series, visit the CMC website to sign up. Spots are limited. In addition to ticket sales, you’ll find detailed information about hikes, including dates, trail name and mileage, classification of difficulty, elevation gain and happy hour location, on the CMC website. Payment for all happy hour food and drink is the responsibility of participating hikers. Designated drivers will receive a special prize from Mountain Side and the CMC.
